After Hours Emergency Voicemail Alert

We proudly offer an after hours voicemail system designed for your 24/7 emergency support that require immediate attention.

Scenarios For After Hours Voicemail Alerts

Often used by plumbers, travel agencies or medical offices. Instead of answering an urgent call at 2:00am, our voicemail alerts give your team a moment to wakeup and respond accordingly. It's a more professional approach.

How Voicemail Alerts Work

When your caller reaches you after-hours, they are greeted with something like: "Thank you for calling Acme Inc. Our office is closed. If you require immediate assistance, press one for our after hours on-call technician."

Once they press 1, they will hear something like: "You've reached our after hours team. Please leave a message and your call will be returned within 10 minutes." You can include cost or pricing to deter people who are not willing to pay the fee associated with an after-hours call. Your team will thank you for not waking them up with customers unwilling to pay the fee.

Activating Voicemail Alerts

This is a special feature that requires you to contact your account manager or support to enable. It's done on a per-user basis, so we will need to use an existing user, or more likely, create a new user called 'After Hours VM" or something similar.

Managing Voicemail Alerts & Updating On-Call Number

1. Once enabled by our team, log into your manager portal.

2. On the top navigation, select Users and scroll down or search for the name of the after hours VM user.

 3. Select the Voicemail option under the submenu of the user.

4. Once there, scroll down to the bottom of the screen to the 'Notifications' section.

5. Enable 'Voicemail Reminders Phone Notification"

6. Enter the telephone number of the person you wish to receive the notifications. You can add multiple numbers.

7. Select the intervals. We recommend 5 minutes.

The Voicemail Notification
Your on-call number(s) will be called every 5 minutes alerting them to a voicemail message. They will be required to confirm and accept the voicemail message to stop the notifications.
